The Good: hand-drawn sprites and levels, all very detailed and colorful interesting, occasionally maze-like level design humor that's somewhat reminiscent of Jazz Jackrabbit and sometimes even Earthworm Jim elements like level puzzles, shops and an inventory make the game more complex than your average barebones platformerThe Meh: the music tracks are so short that their constant repetition drove me insane (you can turn the music off completely, though, which I eventually did) lackluster controller support; controllers have to be set up manually for one thing, but even then, I (using a 360 pad) experienced such hypersensitivity with the thumbsticks that I ended up using the d-pad for movement; if you have a gamepad with an excellent d-pad, this should not be an issue, but 360 users should be warned on "Normal" and "Hard", *nothing* dies with one hit; not that big a deal overall, but definitely an occasional nuisance, especially in the beginning of the game when you're stuck with nothing but an ineffective and arching throwing weapon some minor flaws that made the game seem a bit unpolished, like the save game thumbnail always displaying the wrong difficulty level, or the goal arrow occasionally pointing in the wrong direction the map can be rather useless in some levels as it leaves out certain elements (like bridges), resulting in unexpected dead endsThe Ugly: the controls are *the* major issue here; Bunny's movement feels almost unpredictable on occasion as his momentum is unnecessarily difficult to gauge and control, making tricky jumps (which are admittedly rather infrequent) overly frustrating; adding to this are quirks like the main character automatically sliding down slopes, which, too, affects momentum in hard to predict ways; the whole ordeal feels sluggish and inexcusably imprecise OVERALL:It pains me a bit to say this, because I love hand-drawn platformers, especially when they remind me of the glory days of DOS gaming, but this is not a title that should be bought at full price. Give it a try if you get it on the (very) cheap or as a gift, but do not overspend on what is essentially an unpolished game that wasted its potential.. Started the game, character won't move, doesn't respond at all.. This game is absolutely awful. The controls are horrible. Controller support is terrible as well, as you can bind buttons in the configuration area, and then not even have them mapped correctly once you're in game. Analog stick support is bad as well, as the controls seem to get stuck in one direction. This does not happen in any other game, so I do not believe this is a problem with my xbox controller.Weapons do not function well, and the movement of your character only exacerbates that. The movement is very stiff, and non fluid. Your character awkwardly moves from position to position, and if this is a problem with vsync, well the options menu give you no option to turn that on or off. In fact, the graphics controls consist of low/medium/high, and only a choice of resolution.This game is not well done by any stretch, even the graphics are poor. By the way, an endlessly looping musical track that might be 6 seconds long?Stay away, stay VERY far away. There is nothing redeemable about this game.
